This declaration on digital accessibility applies to the website of the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts published at

As a public sector body within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2016/2102, we endeavour to
our websites and mobile applications in accordance with the provisions of the
Hessian Disability Equality Act (HessBGG) and the Hessian Ordinance on Barrier-free Information Technology (HVBIT) for the implementation of Directive (EU) 2016/2102.

Status of compatibility with the requirements
The accessibility requirements are set out in Section 3 (1) to (4) and Section 4
of the HVBIT, which was issued on the basis of Section 14 of the HessBGG.

The review of compliance with the requirements is based on a self-assessment carried out in February 2023.

Content that is not accessible
The review found that the website is partially compliant with the aforementioned requirements due to the following exceptions

Incompatibility with the HVBIT
The content listed below is incompatible with Section 3(1) of the HVBIT and is not accessible for the following reasons:

- Text boxes are not read aloud by the screen reader in some cases, there is no indication of the obligation to complete the form.
- Upload fields are not recognised by the screen reader.
- Some elements cannot be accessed using the keyboard.
- On long pages/tabs, the prompt to scroll is missing, the area not displayed on the screen is not read aloud.
- Checkboxes are not read aloud, there is no indication that they must be completed.
There are currently no accessible alternatives available.
The site is still under construction. The existing barriers are gradually being removed.

Enforcement procedure
If even after your feedback to the above contact no satisfactory
satisfactory solution has not been found, you can contact the Enforcement and
Monitoring Centre for Accessible Information Technology. After a period of six weeks, you have the right to contact the enforcement and monitoring body directly. With the involvement of all parties concerned, the enforcement centre will attempt to determine the circumstances of the lack of accessibility so that the institution can rectify them.
